Vincent Kling (1916-2013) was far more than a local architect, he and his firm helped to shape the city of Philadelphia in the postwar period.  A graduate of both Columbia and MIT, Kling worked for Skidmore, Owings, and Merrill in New York before moving to Philadelphia in 1946 to establish his own practice.
